Subconscious Power
I’m not sure how many people are actually aware of the amazing and vast power that their subconscious mind has. This is, in my opinion, fairly uncharted territory. Sure, we all agree that it is limitless in its capabilities; yet, how often do you take the time to contemplate how POWERFUL your subconscious mind really is?
We typically operate using about 5% (max) of our mind/brain. That means that the other 95% is all running unconsciously–subconsciously. This is how we end up living our lives on auto-pilot. We merely go through the motions of day to day life, not really understanding how impactful our thoughts really are.
This page of the website is going to be dedicated to the subconscious mind and it’s amazing powers.
Stay tuned for more posts, and/or leave a comment on the guestbook.

Guess you’re looking for a place where there is a guestbook, huh? Me too…
If you’ve been following us for any amount of time, then you know that we have recently updated/upgraded/moved our website. We’re still a bit in the works right now. But, have no fear, website man is here. All should be back to normal, and, actually, improved quite soon.
As far as the subconscious mind goes…
I think that we can all agree that anytime we discuss the mind, especially the subconscious/unconscious mind, we are entering territory that can go on forever and ever. So, understand that this topic will most likely never truly be completely understood. But, here’s some more food for thought for you.
To begin this discourse, we need to realize a few things:
- The power of the subconscious mind is much “stronger” than the conscious mind.
- The subconscious mind controls and maintains our bodily functions; things like: heartbeat, temperature, breathing, eyes blinking, organ functions (could this be communication on a cellular leve?), etc.
- When there is a conflict between conscious decisions and unconscious/subconscious beliefs, the subconscious mind will win out. This is why it is so difficult to stick to resolutions, eliminate bad habits, change results in life in general.
- There are four primary brain wave frequencies: Beta, Alpha, Delta and Theta. Each brain wave is tied to a particular level of consciousness.
- These brain wave frequencies are separated determinedly by their “power” and their range of frequency. Beta, for example, is normally associated with how we operate in our basic consciousness. There’s lots of agitation here, and the frequency is quicker and of a smaller amplitude. As we progress into deeper levels (Alpha, into Delta and finally into Theta), the frequency is slower, but the amplitude increases.
Now, since the subconscious is more powerful (has more power) and the conscious mind is weaker (has less power), it only makes sense that the subconscious mind is therefore mainly comprised of the deeper levels of brain waves. In other words, the bigger part of our “selves” is made up of those parts of our mind that we are generally unaware of. We generate more and more of the deeper levels of brain waves when we are asleep, or unconscious.
I believe that those deeper brain wave levels are always operating, but that we are unable to record them so well while conscious because they are running our “bodies” in a manner that is learned, or trained. In other words, they have become so automatic that they need not be measured. Sort of like how it becomes easier and easier to do something the more often that you do it.
However, they are, in my opinion, always running. Running in the background, so to speak.
These, I think, are some of the most powerful brain waves that we generate. High amplitude, and low frequency. We could call these, our unconcsious or subconscious brainwaves.
Wouldn’t it be nice to tap into the power of these brainwaves? Couldn’t we learn to benefit from this power? Doesn’t it make sense that we should learn as much as we can about them and see if we CAN find a way to tap into and use this power?
As we go through our day to day lives, we are generating brainwaves. I think that a big part of these brainwaves are part of the “dynamo” that keeps our body moving and all of our organs functioning properly. All of that electricity that we have inside of us–coming from this tiny organ, locked up in a protective shell–amazing, isn’t it?
Pausing for a moment here, we can look at how things actually work for us, and how this relates to brainwaves.
Most of our lives operate on a level beyond our awareness. We go through the motions of our existence. We are creatures controlled by our internal representations of the world around us. If you REALLY stop to think about it, we are not usually truly aware of much that either: goes on around us (our life and life experience), or what our thoughts are and how they are impacting our life and life experience.
I recently gave a presentation that was a brief introduction to the subconscious mind. As I was speaking, the “reality” of the situation hit me: these people that I was talking to were more unaware than I had ever really imagined that they would be. How is that possible?
How can we go through our lives not really knowing what’s going on inside of us? Is it normal to ignore our thoughts? Does anyone really care about any of this?
But, let’s go back for a bit and examine the quandry regarding brainwaves.
I think that it is really a question of power, maybe of electricity. Power. And use of that power. Think about it: you have this incredible storehouse of energy being utilized every moment of your existence. AND, it is going on without you even realizing it.
These brainwaves are supporting all of your life functions, perfectly. You don’t have to stop and think (consciously) about making your heart beat, lungs work, maintain your body temeperature, or all of your other organs functioning properly…it just happens.
We need to take the time to understand these mysterious powers and learn to apply that energy, that power to acheiving whatever our hearts should desire.
